A private-label, contract manufacturer of cosmetics, makeup, and nutritional supplements. Our products are certified organic, 100% natural origin, and designed and manufactured entirely in France.
As part of JERODIA GROUP, PHYT’S has over 50 years of experience in cosmetics manufacturing. During this time, our clients have come to know us as a trusted partner for their full-service manufacturing needs.

PHYT’S: EXPERTS IN NATURAL BEAUTY SINCE 1972
It all started in 1972, 50 years ago, in Southern France, when Jean-Paul Llopart, biologist and naturopath, and Rosanne Verlé, beautician, created PHYTAL, a brand of natural cosmetics.
Mr. Llopart and Ms. Verlé considered beauty to be inseparable from health. This belief laid the foundation for the concept of Naturo-Esthétique™, which combined ecology and biology to develop innovative and effective care products and methods, all without synthetic preservatives.
After being integrated into JERODIA GROUP in 2004, PHYTAL took on a new dimension by becoming PHYT’S.
Today, we are proud to continue the tradition, products, and methods developed by Mr. Llopart and Ms. Verlé, as we continue to manufacture cosmetics and makeup that are 100% natural origin and certified organic.
Our priority is to offer creative, effective, and certified organic products that are respectful for our clients and our planet and thoroughly imbued with technical innovation.

50 YEARS OF PASSION AND INNOVATION
- 2022 - Creation of a new formulation and manufacturing process of Solid Cosmetic Products
- 2021 - JERODIA GROUP acquires NEOBIE for its innovative VisioDerm Pro Connect, a professional diagnostic tool able to detect skin imbalances.
- 2021 - Development of Biocide products line.
- 2021 - Creation of the “Phyto Filière PHYT’S”
- Covid 2020 - PHYT’S participates in the international collective effort to fight the spread of Covid-19 by making hand sanitizer to stem the shortage.
- 2019 - Acquisition of two automatic screen-printing units.
- 2018 - Acquisition of a 7,000 m² logistics facility.
- 2011 - Creation of PWE®, a 100% natural origin Phyto Active complex proven to be effective in lightening skin (decreasing melanogenesis).
- 2006 - Installation of the PHYT’S Production unit in vintage cellars in Caillac, in the south-west of France.
- 2006 - Acquisition of a complete manufacturing line dedicated to makeup manufacturing, including units for lipsticks, mascara, and powders.
- 2002 - Cosmébio Charter created with PHYT’S AROMATIC being one of the founding members.
- 1993 - The JERODIA INSTITUTE is created, manufacturer of 100% natural nutritional supplements.
- 1974 - Filing of a patent for the invention of an innovative method to package thick or semi-thick care products in glass ampules.
- 1972 - Creation of PHYTAL, in Alénya, southern France. PHYTAL is designed to be a natural-origin cosmetics brand for beauty salons.

All of our formulas are designed and manufactured in France.
Our ranges are developed by our own research and development department located in Alénya, nestled between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea, and processed and produced in Caillac, in the south-west of France.
PHYT’S Productions features an industrial complex of more than 15,000 m², consisting of the following:
- A production unit of 8,000 m², equipped with modern, high-performance equipment and 16 packaging manufacturing lines,
- A screen-printing unit for primary packaging,
- A packaging unit for primary and secondary packaging,
- A storage and logistics unit of more than 7,000 m²,
- A quality-control unit ensuring rigorous monitoring of the application of the current regulations
By having complete control of the production chain, we can guarantee high product quality, infallible traceability, and a firm commitment to local employment. We are also in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), put forward by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 22716:2007, which gives guidelines for the production, control, storage, and shipment of cosmetic products.
OUR FORMULAS, 100% NATURAL!
Since 1972, PHYT’S has been focused on revealing our clients’ natural beauty by offering natural products, phyto-cosmetics, and 100% natural nutritional supplements.
Today, PHYT’S is the only brand to guarantee that nearly all of our products use 100% natural ingredients, favoring organic if such an option is available, and 0% synthetic ingredients. Subsequently, our manufacturing requirements are actually higher than the minimum required by the Cosmébio Charter (which requires a minimum of 95% natural-origin ingredients).

CERTIFIED ORGANIC COSMETIC PRODUCTS
We are certified by COSMEBIO and COSMOS (COSMetic Organic Standard), two
internationally recognized associations and labels that guarantee the highest quality and highest levels of trust in our products. With Cosmébio and Cosmos labels, you can be assured that PHYT’s Productions is certified organic and 100% natural origin.
The COSMEBIO and COSMOS labels are only provided once the company meets demanding specifications and adheres to a charter of sustainable and ethical values.
These labels did not exist prior to 2002, when there were no regulations in organic cosmetics. Together with ten other founding members, PHYT’S created the specification requirements which became the origin of the Cosmébio association and charter. In 2013, Cosmébio and four other associations created COSMOS, an international certification body for cosmetics. The purpose of COSMOS is to harmonize the guarantees of organic cosmetic labels between different countries around the world. Together, COSMEBIO and COSMOS make it quick and easy to see which companies and products are natural and/or organic.
To maintain an approach that is responsible and respectful to our clients and our planet at all stages of production, we guarantee:
- no animal testing,
- no synthetic coloring agents,
- no parabens,
- no PEGs, and
- no phenoxyethanol

Ensuring an environmentally friendly and resource-preserving production method is at the heart of our corporate policy.
PHYT’S is committed to this policy throughout the life cycle of our products
Vegan and natural cosmetics: most of our products contain no animal substances and are free from synthetic dyes and preservatives
Maintaining biodiversity: fair-trade raw materials, and organic ingredients to encourage an ethical and sustainable supply.
Environmentally friendly production:
- Use of cleaning products validated by Ecocert, an organic certification organization.
- Waste management and selective sorting,
- Gentle and non-polluting manufacturing process,
- A fleet of electric cars to travel between our sites, and
- Energy savings through to an earth-to-air heat exchanger.
Environmentally friendly packaging:
- Choice of eco-friendly containers: recycled, recyclable (glass, aluminum, cardboard, paper, or PE, PET, and PP plastics), or energetically recoverable.
- Cardboard-sleeve packaging issued from sustainably managed forests (PEFC certification), creation of plots of organic agroforestry, and involvement in the protection of natural environments.
- Transportation protection provided by 200mm-wide air cushions made with 50% recycled material and which are entirely recyclable.
PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES
With an Emphasis on the Plant Nursery Sector:
- Collaborations with cooperatives or farmers, promoting the development of local organic farming.
- Partnerships with local farmers to produce our own raw materials, with quality control, and development of the local economy.
- Participation in the regeneration of a local sector that had disappeared: the lavender of Quercy.
- Support the diversification of farmers towards crops that are part of our cosmetics and are consistent with the terroir and local biodiversity. Membership in the Quercy PPAM association to start a collective reflection in order to develop new cultures.
- Production and internal processing of a part of our raw materials via “Phyto Filière PHYT’S”.
